Fall looks good on him...

Here are the pictures I promised!  There are quite a few...I just couldn't narrow them down-we had so much fun enjoying the day!
First a sneak peek at Mason's Halloween costume-

Such a handsome man-ok so maybe I'm biased

Then fun in the leaves-

My big boy-

Hope you enjoyed!

Busy-busy

I have been so busy that today was the first day I have taken a picture since last Saturday-totally not like me!  Usually the camera is attached to my hip-I dont leave home without it!  Joe is working so Mason and I played with Leo (one of the many neighborhood kids...aka MAson's buddy) in the leaves-we have some pretty big piles around here!  The colors again are phenomenal, I got some really great pictures!  I will post them tonight when I get home from choreography practice (4-10.)
For those of you that don't know I have choreographed the musicals for Holy Cross High School for ~ 7 years...One of my hidden talents!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather!
Stay tuned for pictures...

Beauty in Rain

It was such a dismal day yesterday-weather wise that is!  While waiting on Sarah to swing by and pick me up (We were headed to the ducks graduation-whoo hoo for them!) I saw this beautiful flower in the rain and it made me smile!  I felt like it was someone's way of telling me my day was going to get better-if you are wondering, it actually did get better...I was finally able to catch up on some much needed sleep!

Fall fever

After chick-fil-A the boys fell asleep and I had some time to myself.  I think I could spend the entire fall season outside taking pictures-I just love the leaves and colors!  Being outside by myself is a time for reflection as well as imagination growth!

This picture makes me want to cuddle up next to a fire and enjoy a delightful bottle of wine!

always have been a fan of acorns!

Chicken...

So we ventured out to the new Chick-fil-A in Florence today.  It was an adventure to say the least!  Mason enjoyed the chicken and the playland- Everyone was so friendly, we even got a coupon for a free breakfast entree for our return!

Mason's first Chick-fil-A box!

Devou in the Fall

Joe, Mason and I drove to Devou Park yesterday-selfishly so i could take some pictures of the leaves changing!  The colors of orange, yellow and red are exquisite this time of the year-such a breathtaking sight!  Now is the time to take family pictures-does anyone need any-hint hint!

The weather was beautiful, there was a tiny chill in the air, but nothing too cold!

Here are some from my shoot-

Wouldn't this be beautiful with a family walking towards me?

or underneath the tree?

or sitting on the picnic bench?

from underneath a tree looking out

different angle

Then Mason and Joe found me so we took some silly "us" pictures-

Who Dey Nation!

Who Dey Bengals!  Joe and I are so blessed to have purchased half of the season this year!  We love going to the games!  The Bengals spirit is so contagious...We might not have won this game-but we had a BLAST!  We went with our best friends (minus Josh and Dawn-we missed you guys) and endulged in great chili, veggies, fruits, brownies and more!  It was cold to start but warmed up quickly in the sun!

Cold but having fun

A great picture of the boys

Getting warmer-shedding some layers

with crazy Scott and Chad

Such a great time!

We cant wait for our next game-with more great company...

Ice and Fire

It was so cold yesterday but Joe was determined to cut the grass.  He has a phobia about leaves collecting on the ground!  I think it is a wonderful sight and to him it is an annoyance!  Anywho-Mason was freezing -his fingers like ice-so we bundled him up (two layers plus blankets) and started a fire.

The beginning of Joe's fire!

My little outside bug...

Warmth

Notice the leaves in the background-beautiful-now they are no longer there!

All we needed was hot chocolate and a few more layers (5) for me to be happy, but instead i went inside and let the boys enjoy their time outside!

Lazy Laundry Days...

Today Joe is working 12 hours of OT...it's too cold to take M outside...and I have a mound and I mean a mound of laundry to fold.  Mason and I started the morning off with breakfast and then we requested the help of our friend "Sharkie."  -FYI, "Sharkie" is our vaccum...Mason became scared of the vaccum cleaner when our old one "exploded!"- So when it was time for a new one we named him...We now say "Mason, say hi to Sharkie..." and he waves to the vaccum.  I feel like he is part of the family!  There are of course other various appliances named throughout our house...
Meet "Sharkie"

After cleaning Mason became cranky, whiny and all together unhappy...I dont know if this is a result of his flu shot or if he is really coming down with a cold.  He is just so pitiful...My normally happy boy is moping around the house...

Watching Mickey...Hopefully he will feel better soon-or maybe he just misses his Daddy!

We found the flu shot...FINALLY!

So after a long search, we finally found the flu shot!  Mason's cardiatric surgeon's office was willing to help us-so we took the ever so memorable trip to Cincinnati Childrens...This brought back so many emotions for myself and Joe...It was very nostalgic.  Thank godness we do not have to spend nights there anymore!

After we returned home-we played outside...Mason was not to fond of us right after his shot so we tried to make amends

Not a fan of us at the moment!

Ok-maybe we are not so bad!

Fun with Daddy

Joe is home from the firehouse today!  Mason loves these days...Here is how the morning usually goes-
  • Cook breakfast
  • eat
  • play (inside)
  • poop (Mason not Joe-haha)
  • play (outside)
Usually during this time I take a nap, but now that Mason has been sleeping through the night (Thank you Dr. Ferber)  I dont need to nap!  So I cleaned while the boys played-that is until they wrecked the house...I couldnt get mad it was too cute! Here are some neat shots of their morning!

 Oh boys will be boys!
